2008 Regional - NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS

A. SHOW FACILITY
Please stay at the Radisson and make sure they know you are with the Boxer Club.

The grooming & crating areas will be available to exhibitors Thursday at Time To Be Announced, November 6, 2008. Dogs must be removed from the show site immediately following Best of Breed judging on Sunday, November 9, 2008. Space is limited and the club may require crates to be stacked. The clubs may limit “saved space”. Please keep the area clean. Crating and grooming are not allowed in the exhibit hall. The exhibit hall will be opened daily one hour before judging.

Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant or bar areas.
Exhibitors reported by the hotel for damage to rooms, disturbances of the peace, etc. may be disciplined. Please crate all dogs before leaving the room. Do not use the hotel towels for dog bathing

NO SMOKING in the building or within 15’ of any entrance except in designated sleeping rooms.

B. PARKING
NO parking in designated loading zone, RV parking or other posted areas.
RV parking will be designated. See reservation form for further information.
Vehicles parked in fire lanes or blocking loading zones will be towed.
Animals in distress in vehicles may be removed at clubs discretion.

C. MEDIA
The entire Parade and Regional will be available on DVD at reasonable prices. A show photographer will be available the entire weekend including for the Parade. Individuals will be allowed to take pictures or video but may not interfere with the above, nor will they be allowed to tape the entire event.

All rights to televise, videotape, advertise, photograph, promote or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the show giving clubs or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the clubs. All persons & animals on the show grounds at any time while the show is in progress do, by attending these shows, grant to the clubs the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent.

D. LIABILITY
LOSS OR DAMAGE. The show giving clubs, superintendent and employees are not responsible for loss or damage to, or death of any dogs exhibited or for the possessions of any participant whether the result of an accident or any other cause. It is expressly understood that every dog at this show is in the care, custody and control of the owner, handler or agent during the entire time the dog is on the show premises.

CHILDREN are the responsibility of their parents or guardian. They are not allowed unattended in the grooming area or exhibit hall. Parents will be responsible for the safety of their children & damages done by their children.

The Kennel Clubs are not responsible for the actions of products sold by the commercial vendors at these shows.

Clubs DO NOT agree to arbitrate claims.

E. TROPHIES
The Clubs reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value than advertised. All trophies and premiums must be claimed at the show. Cash awards for sweepstakes will not be refigured. All monies issued as prizes are the sole responsibility of the recipient. Lost, stolen and/or misplaced prizes will not be replaced.

F. USE OF RAMPS
Ramps may be used in emergency situations – entrants may withdraw with a refund.

G. AKC FEES
A recording fee of 50 cents and an event service fee of $1.50 must be paid to the AKC for each dog entered in a licensed or member show or obedience trial.

H. JUDGING
Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. It is the agent or owners responsibility to have the dog at ringside. Dogs allowed in rings during judging only - NO PRACTICING IN RINGS

I. EXERCISING DOGS
Cleaning up after your dog(s) is your responsibility. The club will provide public exercise pens with cleanup materials and space for private exercise pens. Designated grass areas will also be available but must be cleaned up. Violators may be Benched. Waste from private pens is to be placed in plastic bags and put in the hotel dumpster.

NO indoor exercise pens will be provided or allowed. Exercise pens may be set up in the parking lot outside the show building. Pens must be kept cleaned and all materials bagged before leaving. “Accidents” on carpet must be reported immediately to show officials for proper cleanup.

J. ENTRIES/FEES
Entry fees must accompany all entries. There will be no refund for duplicate entries. Entries received with credit/debit card for payment will have a service charge added.

No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Entries will not be accepted without fees, signatures or the “Agreement” on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form.

Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing or by telegram prior to close of entries. Those received by telephone are not acceptable. An administrative fee of $2 will be charged for all cancellations or changes made prior to closing of entries. Refunds of $3 or less will not be issued due to the costs of processing.

RETURNED CHECKS/INVALID CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. Replacement fees must be paid in guaranteed funds. Checks will not be accepted. The Show Secretary will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check and credit/debit card.

Entry fee will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or judge or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee.

Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations prior to the show. Dogs with a communicable disease must be removed from the show site at the request of the Show Committee.

No entry fees will be refunded if the show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, extreme and/or dangerous weather conditions, an “Act of God”, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strides or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or Show Secretary.
